Our Single Origin 2022 'A' grade saffron comes from our partner farm of Mushtaq from the Pampore region of Kashmir, a place known for producing the finest quality of saffron. For instance more than 150 flowers are needed to produce 1 gram of saffron. Our safffron has a distinct sweet, earthy flavor and aroma with a more complex aftertaste profile. Saffron can be used in various cuisines around the world like persian dishes 'Tahdig' 'Sholeh Zard', Indian one pot rice dishes like 'biryani', Italian delicacies like 'Risotto Milanese' to the famed Spanish 'Paella'. According to ancient persian doctors 'Hakims' saffron has good medicinal properties, it has good anti-oxidant & anti-inflammatory properties, that helps with indigestion and insomnia.
