Insight into the 5 Precepts of Usui Reiki

Reiki is an ancient hands-on energy healing practice that benefits the mind, body, and spirit. Reiki is a spiritual path of healing through connecting to Universal Life Force energy. Recent advancements in scientific technology have allowed Reiki to be tracked and monitored during a session via Electroencephalograph( EEG). This is now making known the truth of the ancient teaching on energy around the world.

This workshop is based on one of the 3 Pillars that are the core of the Reiki System. Created out of Mikao Usui’s wish to help everyday people in his community, the 5 Precepts helped integrate the healing they received so that their everyday lives reflected the deeper internal transformation.

As a Reiki Master of 8+ years, I have seen the most profound transformations within myself and my students through integrating the 5 Precepts and making them one’s own. I see how they can be applied to our modern lives to;

bring about greater peace of mind and compassion for ourselves and those around us,

a greater overall sense of soul fulfillment through genuine self inquiry

During the class we will go over the 5 precepts and then engage in personal exercises to help you see how they can be applied to your everyday life in a way that makes REAL change.

Sensei Luis is a visionary creator of Afro-Taino heritage who grew up in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. He is a ceremonialist, Reiki Master-Teacher for 8+ years, painter, writer, and liaison for the Indigenous Nations Alliance (INA). He is a prayer craftsman & drum maker and has been facilitating the Shamanic Drum ceremony for over 10 years and works in service to the Altar of Elders on the Red Road path with plant teachers for the last 5 years since moving to Southern Oregon.

In the Summer Solstice of 2012, Luis received a vision and a humble nudge from Spirit to gather people to journey to the worlds of Spirit to learn, grow, and heal. He lives outside of Ashland, Oregon, where he teaches Reiki, hosts new & full moon drum journey ceremonies alongside his beloved Antonia Songbird, and spends his free time beading on the loom of life and painting his visions from the Spirit World.
