In this class we will explore herbs and nutrition to support healthy and thriving pregnancy and postpartum! We will discuss a variety of herbs, methods of preparation, and ways to incorporate them into your daily lives. We will cover which herbs are safe to use throughout pregnancy and breastfeeding, as well as those which are not, and when they might be most helpful. We will go over lots of recipes you can make in your own kitchen, with herbs from the apothecary or your own garden! This class will be weaving together herbal medicine, holistic nutrition, Ayurveda, traditional midwifery and wise woman wisdom into a fun and information filled class on how to best support yourself, your baby and your family throughout your pregnancy journey! Anja Robinson is founder of Mana Medicinals @manamedicinals, a small local holistic health company focused around Women’s Wellness. She is a Clinical Herbalist, Integrative Women’s Health Practitioner, Holistic Nutritionist, Lymphatic Breast Specialist, and is currently apprenticing to be a Midwife. Anja is passionate about reproductive health and believes that it is every woman’s birthright to have access to a healthy lifestyle in sync with the body’s natural rhythms. She is inspired by whole foods nutrition, botanical medicine and sustainability; for bodies and lifestyles, as well as for the Earth. Anja’s teachings and private practice weave together traditional western herbalism, holistic nutrition, functional medicine, Ayurveda and traditional womb wisdom to help women, families and communities lead healthy, vibrant lives in harmony with the earth. She lives on a small homestead growing food, flowers and medicinal plants in Williams with her two dogs.
